How do I purchase a ticket?
You can purchase a ticket here. Tickets are available for purchase now.

Where are tickets available?
You can purchase all ticket types on line here. Tickets or you can purchase tickets locally from Crate and Barrel Leeston, Bridgestone Lincoln, or Lincoln HQ.
How much are tickets?
Ticketing information can be found on our website here. Tickets up to our mailing list to be the first to know. Sign up here.
Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?
No. All tickets must be pre-purchased. You must have a ticket to access the shuttle bus. You must have a ticket upon arrival at the site. There are NO GATE SALES.
What happens if I arrive without a ticket?
You will be refused entry and if tickets are still available you can try purchase one online.
Can I purchase tickets at a reduced price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?
There are NO GATE SALES. Tickets sold online or at Box Offices are sold at full price regardless of the time you purchase on event day.
What happens if I lose my ticket?
Tickets purchased from a retail outlet cannot be replaced if lost, please treat them like cash. Tickets purchased online will be delivered in the form of a bar-coded print-at-home PDF ticket; or a bar-coded passbook ticket (electronic ticket on mobile device). Shuttle Bus:
Is there transport to the Festival?
Yes. The shuttle bus service timetable can be found here. Purchase tickets here.
How often are the buses running?
Buses will leave at a certain time from each location, check the schedule here. At the end of Selwyn Sounds, buses will leave from the venue once they’re full.
What can I take on the bus?
Please note the prohibited items below and in the terms and conditions. You may not be allowed on the bus if you have any of these.

Overnight Stay:
How do I purchase a ticket?
You can purchase an overnight stay ticket here.
Will my overnight stay ticket include parking?
If you are purchasing an overnight stay ticket and would like to bring an additional vehicle you will have to pay on the day.
Can I cook in the overnight area?
No. The overnight area is set up as a temporary overnight facility. There will be food and beverages available at Selwyn Sounds. NO open fires allowed.
Will there be showering facilities?
No. The camp area is set up as a temporary overnight facility.
What time is Over Night Stay open.
Overnight stay gates will be open from 8:45am on the show date and everyone must be vacated by midday the next day.

I.D:
Is the Festival R18?
No. This festival is open to all ages. Bars will be R18 and you will need evidence of age: I.D will only be accepted – NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence or HANZ 18+ card. Children five years (inclusive) and under are free and all those under the age of 18 years of age (Minors) must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the event site.

At the Festival:

Will Pass Outs be available on the day?
NO. Please make sure you bring everything you need with you to the event, including medication.
When do the festival gates open and close?
Gates open at 9:30am to express and corporate pass holders and 10am to all general admission ticket holders with the event finishing at 8:30pm
What happens if it rains on the day?
Selwyn Sounds Festival will go ahead rain, hail or shine. Please be prepared for all conditions, but please note; no umbrellas may be brought onto the event site.
Can I bring my own alcohol into the festival?
No. There is a fully licensed bar onsite. For further details check out our Terms and Conditions.
Can I go bare foot?
Jandals or sandals are fine but we highly recommend enclosed footwear as it is a long day.
Can I bring my own food and water into the festival?
Yes, sealed plastic water bottles (no glass) to a maximum size of 1.5 litres and food can be brought into the event site. Check out the terms and conditions for more information on what you can bring here.
Will there be food vendors?
Yes, we have a large variety of food vendors available that will be trading from 9:30am onsite.
Is there disabled access & facilities?
Yes, there is wheelchair access, however, please note; some surfaces include grass and dirt covered areas.
Sale Of Liquor
You will only be able to purchase liquor if you are able to show evidence of age if asked and the following forms will only be accepted by NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence or HANZ 18+ card. The license requires certain conditions to be adhered to, which will be displayed at all bars.
What should I bring to the festival? What should I leave at home?
Bring:

✔ You may need to bring proof of vaccination, we will confirm this once we have government confirmation.

✔ Water (in plastic bottle, no glass)
✔ Hat

Don’t Bring:
Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
– Alcohol
– Weapons or explosives of any kind
– Illegal substances
– Flares, fireworks, sparklers.
– Sounds systems
– Portable laser equipment and pens
– Drones or any other remote flying device
– Anything studded (i.e. belts, wristbands etc)
– Audio or video recording devices (including GoPro and similar)
– Professional photography equipment (E.g. telephoto lenses)
– Skateboards, scooters, wagons, carts, rollerblades, bicycles, quad-bikes, Segways or any personal motorised vehicles.
– No unauthorised solicitation and materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, giveaways, samples, etc.
– Any other item deemed to be dangerous or offensive or potentially dangerous by organisers.
– Returned and the offending patron(s) ejected from Event Site for the remainder of the Event.
– Umbrellas.
