No. There are NO GATE SALES. All tickets must be pre-purchased.

You will be refused entry. If tickets are still available, you can try purchasing one online before arriving.

  • Retail outlet tickets cannot be replaced if lost.

How do I get to Selwyn Sounds in Lincoln?

You can travel by shuttle bus (ticket required) or drive and park (fee payable on the day).

Is there a shuttle bus to Selwyn Sounds?

Yes. Shuttle services operate to the festival. You must have a valid event ticket.

Do I need a festival ticket to use the shuttle bus?

Yes. You must have a valid festival ticket to access the shuttle bus and to enter the venue.

Is Selwyn Sounds an R18 event?

No. Selwyn Sounds is open to all ages. Bars are R18 and valid photo ID is required to purchase alcohol.

Children 5 years and under are free. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What forms of ID are accepted?

Accepted ID includes NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence, or HANZ 18+ card.

Are pass-outs allowed?

No. There are no pass-outs. Please bring everything you need with you (including medication).

Will Selwyn Sounds go ahead if it rains?

Yes. The festival goes ahead rain, hail, or shine. Umbrellas are not permitted.

Can I bring alcohol into Selwyn Sounds?

No. BYO alcohol is not permitted. There is a fully licensed bar onsite.

Can I bring my own food and water?

Yes. You may bring food and sealed plastic water bottles (no glass) up to 1.5L.

Yes. A wide range of food vendors will be onsite.

What items are prohibited at Selwyn Sounds?

Prohibited items include but are not limited to:

  • Weapons or explosives of any kind
  • Illegal substances
  • Flares, fireworks, sparklers
  • Sound systems
  • Portable laser equipment and pens
  • Drones or any other remote flying device
  • Anything studded (e.g. belts, wristbands)
  • Audio or video recording devices (including GoPro and similar)
  • Professional photography equipment (e.g. telephoto lenses)
  • Skateboards, scooters, wagons, carts, rollerblades, bicycles, quad-bikes, Segways or personal motorised vehicles
  • Bean bags
  • Kitchen cutlery and cheese knives
  • Full flasks (must be empty on arrival)
  • Loose ice or frozen bottled ice
  • Unauthorised solicitation or materials (handbills, flyers, stickers, giveaways, samples, etc.)
  • Any other item deemed dangerous or offensive by organisers
  • Umbrellas
